Sharing Your Event with Guests
Once you've created an event, there are several ways to share it with your guests so they can view and upload photos.
Sharing Options
Event Link
Every event has a unique shareable link. From your event gallery, click the "Share" button to copy the link. The link takes guests directly to your event's guest page where they can:
- View all event photos
- Upload their own photos
- Search for photos of themselves using face recognition
QR Code
A QR code is automatically generated for your event. This is perfect for:
- Printing on table cards at the venue
- Displaying on a screen during the event
- Adding to wedding invitations or programs
Guests simply scan the QR code with their phone camera to access the event.
Event Code
Share the event code directly (e.g., "WEDDING"). Guests can enter this code on the Fotora.ai homepage to find your event.
Guest Experience
When a guest opens your event link, here's what happens:
- Enter the event code — If they don't have a direct link, they'll enter the code on the homepage
- Enter PIN — If you've set a PIN, they'll need to enter it
- Enter their name — Guests provide their name so you can see who uploaded what
- Browse and upload — Guests can view photos and upload their own directly from their phone
No Account Required
Guests don't need to create an account to view or upload photos. The process is designed to be as frictionless as possible — just open the link, enter the code/PIN if needed, and start sharing.
Controlling Guest Access
From your event settings, you can:
- Enable/disable guest uploads — Control whether guests can upload photos
- Set or change the PIN — Add an extra layer of privacy
- Change the event code — Update the code if needed
Tips
- Share the link before the event so guests are ready to upload on the day
- Print QR codes on table cards for easy access during the event
- If your event is private, always use a PIN to prevent uninvited access
- Guest-uploaded photos are labelled separately from host photos, so you can easily filter them in the gallery
